Freshers' Trip 2009
Here is a little bit of info about the trip - it seems everyone is asking about it!

Hey everyone!
We'll be leaving on 23rd Oct (Friday) and returning late on 25th (Sunday). We drive in a couple of minibuses to Snowdonia (North Wales) and stay in a beautiful hut surrounded by fields and sheep! On Saturday we take you all single-pitch rock climbing, usually at a crag called Tremadog. It's gorgeous and we have a good record of coaxing the sun out to shine down on us
On Saturday night we have a slap up meal - usually veggie chilie washed down with lots of beer and bad wine! There is also an annual table-wrestling competition which is enjoyed by all.
Sunday's activities are largely up to the members who come on the trip - options are hill walking or rock climbing (single pitch). We will leave about 5 PM and get back in time to drop people at the Tube if they need it.
We aim to give you a good background into what REAL, outdoor climbing is like. You don't have to be good at all - in fact it's OK if you've never seen real rock before! But it IS a good idea for you to have come along the Castle Climbing Centre in North London where we train on Wednesdays so we can tell you how to tie in to a harness and belay safely.
If you're interested in the trip, you can talk to Pete, our Trip Sec. But we haven't started opening the places up yet.... so get prepared for when we do - it is usually a quick sell-out! Priority for places is given first to those members who have paid their subs to us (£28 at a student centre on online here: www.kclsu.org so we advise you to do that pretty sharp!
Hope to see you all soon, any questions then just post on here and someone'll get back to you!
Jen
